Week 37

Here we are at Week 37 and Allie is now considered full term... YEAH!!!! At my check-up this week we found out she weighs 5lbs and 13oz and she is ready to go in the vertex position. I have not dilated yet, but hopefully things will begin to progress real soon. The doctor took me off work because I have been swelling really bad. The Braxton Hicks contractions have been a little more frequent. The anticipation is building... we cant wait!!!

Black and Gold--- Superbowl!!!

WHO DAT!! The Saints have won the Superbowl! Wow, what a year it is going to be. I believe from now on Allie's birthday year will forever be known as the year the Saints won their first superbowl! I know she won't mind because she is going to be a HUGE Saints fan, that is if her daddy has anything to do with it! She already has a "who dat" wardrobe!

So Brent won the lottery and got two tickets to the Superbowl in Miami! We had to sell them though... really bad timing... with Allie expecting to come at anytime, and building the house... we just couldn't justify! Maybe next year though! Little Allie can never say her Daddy does not love her very much because he gave up a chance to go see the Saints in the Superbowl!

Allie's Baby Shower in New Orleans

Allie had her second baby shower today given by her Aunt Cindy, Aunt Nancy, and Nonnie. Again she recieved so many adorable things! I think Brent and I should have built a bigger house because I dont know where we are going to put all of her stuff! We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends to help us get ready for our new little addition.

Everything was decorated so cute! The cake was DELICIOUS!!!

Week 35

Here we are at week 35 and I am convinced there is no possible way I can grow anymore! But I am sure little Allie will prove me wrong and stretch me a little more!

Here is little Allie in her room... it should be completed April/May. Can you tell I was having a rough day?

Week 32

Here we are at week 32 and we are happy to announce that we have a name for our baby girl! Here name is going to be Allie, after her late great-grandfather Al. We are still working on a middle name, but Brent seems to like Allie Jane, after me. Hopefully we will decide soon because she will be joining us before we know it! Allie is now more active than ever and is really starting to hurt me! I dont mind though because every little kick reminds me that she is doing well!

We did a redo of her 4D sonogram yesterday. I am happy to say that she is now in the vertex position! She was all snuggled in my left hip right up against the placenta, so it was hard to get a full shot of her face... but we definitely got some action shots... she was sucking, licking, laughing, smiling... really putting on a show! It was AMAZING! We cannont wait to meet her!!

The thing covering her eye is the placenta. Her cheeks are getting bigger and her lips are perfect!

Week 28

Today we had a 3D ultrasound done! It was absolutely amazing! She is beautiful and has her daddy's lips and cheeks. She was in an awkward position during the ultrasound so it was hard to get some really clear pics of her, but we did catch a few. She is still "head up" and her feet are right by her face. She is all snuggled up under my right rib cage and decided to be still for once and not move! I am going to go back in a few weeks and hopefully she will have turned and we can see her a little better. Brent and I both cried when we first saw her... she was yawning and in the background the song I walked down the aisle to was playing... to perfect.
